Dr. Carreño is Founder and President of the Foundation for the Study of Viral Hepatitis (FEHV) and the Foundation for Biomedical Research (IFF). He is currently considered internationally one of the best hepatologist. He received his doctorate degree in 1985 at the Faculty of Medicine of the Autonomic University of Madrid. He developed his international career at Research Centers in Oxford, Berlin and London, during which, he specialized in hepatology at the Royal Free Hospital in London.

ANA SANTAMARTA (Executive Secretary)
Ana began her professional path with the Foundation for the Study of Viral Hepatitis as a junior secretary. Since then, she is a member of the Foundation and she has been involved in it ,recently as executive secretary.
Her career began at the Foundation more than 20 years ago. During this period she has gained experience as international secretary for her role in organizing several international conferences. She is the responsible organizer of the annual meetings of the president, the employers and the supporters of the Foundation, held at the Miguel Ángel Hotel.

Mª ISABEL RAMIRO (Degree in Tourist Business and Activities)
María Isabel has a Degree in Tourist Business and Activities by the Official School of Tourism of Madrid since 1987. Before she started working for this Foundation for the Study of Viral Hepatitis (FEVH), she worked as an Executive Assistant and Trilingual Secretary-Seller for several national and international companies.
Since 1991, she has been acting as Supervisor of Medical Protocols, nationally and internationally, Coordinator of the International Congresses organized by the Foundation, person in charge of the Medical Magazine and all the activities organized to obtain funding for the Foundation. Today she is the Financial, Labor and Organizational Controller.
