[Viral replication and changes in the expression of HBs and HBc tissue antigens in type B chronic viral hepatitis patients]

    A study is made of 9 patients with AgHBe+, DNAp+ with chronic hepatitis over a period of 24 months. 7 patients continued to be AgHBe+ but the DNAp activity decreased; the other two patients lost the viral antigens in the changes observed in the seric markers but the slight increase observed in the inflammatory activity was not linked with the serological and tissue changes.

    Estudiamos 9 pacientes AgHBe +, DNAp + con hepatitis crónica por un período de 24 meses. Siete pacientes persistieron AgHBe +, pero la actividad de la DNAp disminuyó; los restantes dos pacientes perdieron la DNAp y uno de ellos desarrolló anti-HBe. La expresión de los antígenos virales en el hígado de los pacientes mostró cambios paulatinos que se correlacionaron con los cambios observados en los marcadores séricos, pero el leve incremento observado en la actividad inflamatoria fue independiente de los cambios serológicos y tisulares.
